Best in Commercial Excellence

Awarded for a market research or analytical project  that facilitates Commercial Excellence in any discipline such as sales force effectiveness, omnichannel insights, forecasting, sales, marketing and any other related field.

Key requirements: 

  • Showcase the innovative use of data, technology or market research to optimise Commercial Excellence
  • Demonstrate how the process or data has led to key outcomes such as identifying next best actions, cohesive customer engagement planning, patient uptake, or strategic insights and decision making
  • Demonstrate innovation in data, analytics, processes, models, or platforms
  • Demonstrate effective applications to facilitate tailored or segment-specific insights or HCP engagements
  • Highlight how the results or capabilities have positively impacted the business or key stakeholders.
  • Whilst we appreciate that entrants may not share proprietary data or platforms directly, suitably anonymised or proxied data or relevant case studies will be sufficient to showcase the approach.

Providing the following details should help bring your submission to life: 

  • What was the initial business question and what impact were you aiming for?
  • Which stakeholders did you involve from the project outset and why?
  • What methodology/approach did you use and how did you decide?
  • What process or metrics were used to ensure tracking and measurement of commercial excellence?
  • What challenges did you face and how did you overcome them to positively impact the business with this project?

Evaluation Criteria: 

The majority of marks will be awarded against the elements below. Each carries equal weighting in the scoring scheme.

  1. Appropriate stakeholders were involved and engaged in the project
  2. Strong methodology and/or analysis tools were used to generate results
  3. Clear recommendations or guidance were given to the client, brand team or business
  4. How did any outputs or recommendations facilitate enhanced customer experience or positively impact the business?
  5. The impact on patients, HCPs or the business was clearly demonstrated
  6. The entry was aligned to the specific award category
